Root Canal Treatment in Faisalabad
Root canal treatment removes infected tissue from inside a tooth, so the tooth can often be kept instead of being taken out. Ongoing tooth pain is a common reason patients come to us for it.

Dr. Muhammad UmarBDS, Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Implantology
You may need a root canal if you have
- Tooth pain that keeps coming back
- Pain that lingers after hot or cold food and drink
- Swelling or a sore gum near a tooth
- A tooth that has darkened after decay or an injury
What happens
- We examine the tooth and take an X-ray to see what is causing the problem.
- We explain your options before any treatment begins.
- The infected tissue is removed, and the inside of the tooth is cleaned.
- The tooth is filled and sealed. Some teeth then need a crown for protection.
Afterwards
- The tooth may feel tender for a few days.
- Avoid biting hard on it until it has been fully restored.
- Keep brushing and cleaning between your teeth.
- Contact us if pain or swelling gets worse.
Common questions
Can the tooth be saved instead of removed?
Often it can, but it depends on how much healthy tooth is left. We check this with an exam and X-ray.
How many visits does a root canal take?
Some teeth can be treated in one visit, and others need more than one. We will tell you what to expect after examining the tooth.
Will I need a crown afterwards?
Back teeth and heavily filled teeth often need a crown to protect them. We will let you know if yours does.
